Problem Summary |
proof 40 hours of training |
Problem Text |
It can be difficult for every applicant to proof that they had 40 hours of
training. The requirement should be that the applicant can show that
he/she has done enough for professional development; developing
themselves in the specific focus area |

Review Response |
When we drafted the 40 hour requirement it was discussed and agreed - and i know some
organisations are paying heed to it and altering their training and development policies
accordingly. So I suggest the 40 hours should stay as guidance
Recommended new text for PD03:
Candidates must be able to show that they have continued to develop their knowledge within
their Focus Areas, at taught courses or through self study. For guidance, it is
recommended that Candidates and Certified IT Specialists undergo 40 hours/year of such
training. |
