    Location in Spec Section 4.2
Problem Summary Grandfathering Window too short
Problem Text The accreditation policy section 4.2 states that "For 12 months after first becoming
accredited, an ACP is permitted to grandfather their IT Specialists, provided that the IT
    Specialists to be grandfathered: "

For an ACP with a large population of specialists, allowing grandfathering only for 12
months is unreasonably restrictive and is counter productive. People that are not
grandfathered in the first 12 months are required to go through a complete new
certification application and board if they subsequently wish to be ITSC certified. This is a
needless amount of effort that will create negative views and reduce uptake of the
    program

The 12 month limit in grandfathering should be removed by changing the above wording
    in section 4.2 to:
"An ACP is permitted to grandfather their IT Specialists, provided that the IT Specialists to
    be grandfathered: "
