Problem Summary |
ACP Boards may operate as panels rather than serial interviews |
Problem Text |
An applicant for accreditation wishes their Boards to operate as
interview panels, in which a 1 hour interview take place between a
candidate and the board members simultaneously rather than one at a time.
Given the more demanding environment for candidates, and the way in
which the board may behave as a group, it is considered most unlikely
that a candidate would be accepted by this approach but rejected by
serial interviews. There is therefore no expected reduction in the
quality of the program.
An ACP operating with panels should be required to change the
composition of the panel at least once every 12 months.
An ACP may have more than three interviewers on a serial Board or a
panel and may have more stringent voting rules than are required by the
ITSC program, for example a requirement for unanimity instead of majority.
ACPs that wish to operate serial boards may of course continue to do so
No change is implied for the way direct boards operate

Proposal accepted by IBM.
Under the resolution tab/dropdown, I'm not quite sure what to put there
given the options, so I have left it as no resolution given. I hope this is
appropriate. |
