Problem Summary |
Misleading wording in Conformance Requirement CBS07 |
Problem Text |
The wording of the skill, it?s description and the rationale does not reflect
current practices of working on projects/work efforts. Open professionals
today may not have the responsibility to work with a project plan or
project managers. However, Open Certified Professionals should identify
those elements that put the integrity of the <discipline-specific> aspects of
the effort at risk and manage them through to completion as agreed by
the appropriate decision-maker.
The skill name for CBS07 should be replaced with:
Manage Discipline-specific Risks within a Project/Work effort
The skill description should be replaced with:
Given a project/work effort, identify those elements that put the integrity of
the <discipline-specific> aspects of the effort at risk and manage them
through to completion as agreed by the appropriate decision-maker(s).
The rationale should be replaced with:
Open Certified professionals must be able to work closely with
stakeholders to address issues in projects /work efforts that put their work
at risk. They must be able to communicate the likelihood and the impact
of the risks and come to agreement with the appropriate decision-
maker(s) about mitigation.
Note as a result of this change the Conformance Requirements for Open
CA, Open DS, Open CTS and Open CTTP will need to be amended as
well as all the Level 1 and Level 2 Experience Milestone Application
Forms for these professions.
