    Problem Summary Refresher Course requirement under Interim Conformance requirements
    Problem Description
    [CSC template]     		On behalf of The Architecture Forum, I wish to report a fault in the
    TOGAF7 CERTIFIED Product Standard.

    The reference to "a certified TOGAF7 Refresher course" under the Interim
    Conformance is not valid, and never has been.

    At the time the Product Standard was developed and approved, there was an
    expectation that such a course would be developed in the course of 2003,
    and be available in good time for certificants under the Interim
    Conformance conditions to participate in such a course.

    I propose to pursue an agreed resolution of this problem within the
    Architecture Forum's Certification Working Group (ogtogafcert).

    Review Conclusion Consultants response:

    The individuals in question have had since February to complete
    this requirement and have not raised the issue to date. We agree
    that the product standard appears overspecific in requiring attendance at
    a "certified Refresher course", however the intent is clear that there
    is a requirement for formal TOGAF 7 Training in some form.
    We would recommend that we accept written confirmation by an instructor
    who is
    TOGAF 7 Certified that an individual has completed some TOGAF 7 training
    suffice as evidence of meeting this requirement.

    This should be forwarded to the expert group for comment.
