Specification Commands and Utilities Issue 4 Version 2
Location in Spec SUSv1, page 62
Problem Summary When a SIGINT signal is received, then dd writes status information to the
standard error and exits. For UNIX 95 and UNIX 98 modes, the exit status
    is non-zero.
Problem Text Refer to Request #1302.
    SUSv1, page 62:
"When a command is in an asynchronous list, the shell will prevent SIGQUIT
and SIGINT signals from the keyboard from interrupting the command."

It allows the "trap - INT" to have no effect. A PIN is granted to cover this
    test failure.

    Thanks!

    Review Recommendation Permanent Interpretation (PIN)
Review Response This test relies on "trap - INT" in a background subshell resetting the
disposition of SIGINT to default (so that it will be inherited as default
by dd). In SUSv4 a clarification has been made requiring this behavior,
but in SUSv1 through SUSv3 the wording (quoted by the submitter) could be
interpreted as allowing the trap to have no effect.

It is not possible to alter the test to use a different strategy,
therefore it is recommended that a PIN is granted.
