    Comment from Development Engineer:
    The test XmText 3A in the VSM suite should not check the value of
    XmNcolumns.
    The reason for the failure is because XmNcolumns is used only in
    the INITIAL value of the widget, and thereafter is dependent on the
    core.width value of the widget. If it is assigned a new value, then
    core.width changes. If core.width changes, then XmNcolumns must be
    changed accordingly.
    Tests therefore have to change either the one OR the other. Changing
    both will result in an unexpected value in one of the variables (the
    one that occurs later in the args list).
