    X/Open CAE Specification for Motif Toolkit API specifies that
    XmTextFindString() (Page: 635) function should be declared in
    Xm/Xm.h. So from that point of view the test purpose is testing
    correct behaviour.

    However, in Headers section XmTextFindString() is not declared in
    Xm/Xm.h(Page: 707-725). Looking at other functions involving Text
    widget and String (like: XmTextGetString(), XmTextGetSubString(),etc.))
    they are required to be declared in in Xm/Text.h.




    What header file should XmTextFindString() be declared - Xm/Text.h or
    Xm/Xm.h?

    In the standard Motif 1.2 distribution, the function XmTextFindString()
    is declared in Xm/Text.h not Xm/Xm.h. We recommend that a TSD be
    granted and the CAE specification corrected. The logical place for
    this declaration is Xm/Text.h, not Xm/Xm.h.
