This is a problem with the X-server we are using
(X11R6.3 SI using IBM ddx).
This particluar test passes on several other X-servers we have
tried (but these other X-servers have shown problems in other
areas, which is why we are not using them for branding).
The Xproto tests for PutImage also pass without problem.
We are currently only trying to brand the API's, not the
X-server.Test Output

When the image format is XYBitmap, then the foreground
pixel in gc defines the source for the one bits in the
image, and the background pixel defines the source for the
zero bits.
METH: Create depth 1 image in XYBitmap format.
METH: Create drawable.
METH: Set all bits in image to zero.
METH: Set every pixel in drawable to W_FG.
METH: Call XPutImage.
METH: Verify results.
METH: Set every pixel in drawable to W_BG.
METH: Call XPutImage.
