The tests may fail on all conforming implementations because they
do not use the end of options delimiter, --, before modes which
begin with -.
For example, test 34 issues the command
$cmd -X _chmod_34_fil
but -X is not an option, it is the mode operand, thus it
must be preceded by "--".
