    Problem Text
The test may fail on all implementations because of a syntax error.

Test case tp1002() calls ga04 like this:

    $TS_BIN/ga04 uux "$_R_SYS!pwd > !$_L_PUBDIR/uux_out_2" > . . .

    This is correct.

Test case tp1003() calls ga05 a little bit differently:

    $TS_BIN/ga05 system uux "\"$_R_SYS!pwd >!$_L_PUBDIR/uux_out_3\"" > . . .

Notice the extra double quotes. They are literally part of the string,
so if $_R_SYS = 'remote' then the system-name becomes '"remote'.

This eventually causes a syntax error and the test fails.
