Problem Text
Although the output shown above is the same as expected if the
test fails, we have done additional research on our implementation
and determined there is a problem with the tests.
On our systems a processing error somewhere in termin which causes
the errors shown. When we run the tests by hand they work as expected.
For example, the tests contain:
(sleep $VSC_WINK ; echo "q" ) | termin -s -o more_out_1 --
more -c -e -i -s -u more_in_1 more_in_2 more_in_3 2> /dev/null
(sleep $VSC_WINK ; echo "q" ) | termin -s -o more_out_2 --
more -e -i -s -u -c more_in_1 more_in_2 more_in_3 2> /dev/null
Followed later by a "cmp -s more_out_1 more_out_2".
When we run the tests this compare returns 1.
However, executing these same commands (with the same data files) on
the command line e.g.:
more -c -e -i -s -u more_in_1 more_in_2 more_in_3 > outfile1
more -e -i -s -u -c more_in_1 more_in_2 more_in_3 > outfile2
results in the two output files "cmp -s"'ing as exactly identical (as
do all 5 of the option combinations given in the test).Test Output
