    This test may fail on implementations where the issuing a put
    command with nothing in the unnamed buffer is considered an error
    and causes ex to exit immediately.

    This test is failing because ex exits with a non-zero status before the
    buffer is written to the file. The commands sent to ex are:

    3yank x
    4
    put x
    5
    put
    w
    q!

    The second put command is an error because there is nothing in the
    unnamed buffer. This causes the ex utility to exit immediately with
    non-zero status because standard input is not a terminal. The write
    command is never executed so there are no changes in the file that was
    edited.

    This is similar to a waiver that was previously submitted and give the
    status of a test suite deficiency: TSD4C.00132.
