Problem Text
This tst may fail on implementations where the effective user and
group IDs of the creating process do not match the IDs of the
user running the test.
This test expects uuto to set the user id of the file created on
the remote system to the user id of the person running the test.
According to IEEE POSIX manual for Shell & Utilities Vol 1,
section 2.9.1.4 page 93, "The file's user ID is set to the
effective user ID of the creating process". The test assertion #
1008 for "uuto" also describes the same.
We believe the effective ID of the calling process is unspecified
and need not be the effective ID of the user running the test.
Therefore there is no reasonable way to determine what the user
id of the file must be. We believe this portion of uuto test
purpose 1008 should be removed.
We also believe this holds true for the group id of the file.
This portion of the test should be removed too.Test Output
