Problem Text
This test may be unresolved if the terminal the test is run on does not
support setting split input/output baud rates when the speed values are
different.
With version 4.1.5B of VSC, this test failed on our previous implementation
for a similar reason and the waiver TSD4C.00175 was granted.
Our implementation was modified so that the stty utility returns an error
when different ispeed and ospeed values are specified. If the ispeed and
ospeed values are identical, the command stty will succeed and a subsequent
command to list the flags will only show the single "speed <value>" .
The stty test case for assertion 8 proceeds as follows.
The initial command "stty ispeed 9600 ospeed 9600 > /dev/null 2>&1"
does not fail because the two speeds are identical.
The following command "stty ispeed 9600 ospeed 2400 > /dev/null 2>&1"
fails and the suite calls "SetResult $TET_UNRESOLVED ... " .
The rationale from TSD4C.00175 is included below.
POSIX.1 and XPG4 do not mandate support for split input/output baud
rates for the tcsetattr system interface (see 1003.1b-1993 7.2.1.2,
page 183 and XSH4 Version 2, page 653).
POSIX.2 and XPG4 do not mandate support for split input/output baud
rates for the stty utility (see 1003.2-1992 4.49.41., page 438 and
XCU4 Version 2, page 665). Additionally, "It is unspecified whether
stty will report an error if an attempt to set a Control Mode fails".Test Output
/tset/POSIX.cmd/stty/stty.ex 1 Unresolved
