Problem Text
The test may fail on implementations that adhere to POSIX.2b and do
not copy the previously inserted text into the numeric named buffers
when an undo command is executed.
The test verifies the POSIX 1003.2 assertion that after inserting a
few lines the undo command will remove those lines and place them in
a numeric buffer.
Historically, the undo command would remove the lines without placing
them in any buffer. POSIX 1003.2b/D11 has reinstated this as the
mandated behavior.
Our implementation conforms to the draft POSIX.2b standard which mandates
this historical practice. Since this area of the specification is subject
to change, we request a temporary interpretation allowing historical practice.Test Output
