    Problem Text
The test may fail on implementations that adhere to POSIX.2b and
consider newline past last line to be an error.

Assertion 168 currently tests recursive @buffer command execution.

The test copies line 2 of the vi_in_1 file into buffer x as a line
mode buffer ("xyy). During the execution of buffer x, a newline
character is encountered to advance the cursor to the next line.
Since the cursor is on the last line when the newline is read, an
    error occurs.

In POSIX.2, termination of @buffer execution only occurs for a vi
error. The command execution issue in question (newline past
last line) is defined as an exception that generates a bell and
leaves the cursor unchanged. Therefore, the test expects command
    execution to continue.

As of POSIX.2b newline past last line is considered an error and
    terminates the buffer execution.

Our implementation conforms to the draft POSIX.2b standard.
Since this area of the specification is subject to change, we
request a temporary interpretation allowing historical practice.
