    An interpretation is requested on the following XPG4 XCU spec problem.
    Page 469 of the XPG4 XCU spec under the edit messages subheading states:
    " Edit the given messages. ... The default editor is ed." However; on
    page 459 it states under the EDITOR subheading: "Determine the name of a
    utility to invoke when the edit ... command is used. The default is
    unspecified." These statements are in conflict.
