The X/Open Verification Suite Release Notes 4.3.2 (page 6) states that
there is temporary X/Open interpretation for fseek() on pipes and
FIFOs (TIN4.004). This indicates that the test is incorrect. The test expects
a subsequent getc() on the stream to be unaffected by the fseek() call.Test Output

I think that the submitter is confused about the process of referencing
standing interpretations. This request came through a couple of days
ago and the response was to refer to TIN4.004. This request does exactly
that, but the reference should be made on the test report submitted with
the branding application not through another interpretation request.
