Given Review Response This failure does not seem to relate to TSD4.011 which tests that there is no name-space pollution from the <regexp.h> header file. This test is designed to verify that the prototype for the compile() function matches that specified in the XPG 4. It seems that this is not the case for this implementation; the fault probably relates to the failure to define endbuf as a const char *. The declaration of the compile() function without a prototype form is unlikely to cause problems in application code and the changes necessary to accomodate this will be straightforward. Since the regexp functions are marked as "To be withdrawn", it is not recommended for use in newly written applications and most current applications will not be expecting a function prototype declaration for compile(). It is recommended that a waiver be granted for a minor system fault.
