The test calls isread(ISNEXT+ISLOCK+ISSKIPLOCK) in manual lock mode, and
expects no error. The X/Open ISAM Developers Specification, in the
description of the isread call (page 87) states "If the ISLOCK flag is
used with modes ISNEXT or ISPREV, an ISSKIPLOCK option is provided
giving the capability to read past/before a locked record by two
successive isread() calls. Using this option, both isrecnum and the
current record position will point to the locked record. The iserrno
variable will be set to [ELOCKED] and record will not point to any
valid data."
This clearly means that even though the ISSKIPLOCK option is being
used, the ELOCKED error will still occur.Test Output
VRPT Fails to report results when given a run of the isread test.

The statements on pages 67 and 87 of the ISAM specification seem to be
at variance as to the setting of the [ELOCKED] error indicator. The text
on page 67 fails to mention that this indicator is set, while the text on
page 87 explicitly states that it will be set. This needs to be clarified
in order to ensure that all implementations behave in a compatible manner.
There is no reason to suggest that this waiver request should not be granted.
However, it could be granted as a test suite deficiency in the case that the
statements on page 87 are determined to have priority and are required of all
implementations, or it could be granted as an interpretation in the case that
it is decided that there is ambiguity and implementations are allowed to leave
the [ELOCKED] indicator unset in these circumstances.

A test suite deficiency is granted.
