    The test code incorrectly assumes that if _POSIX2_VERSION is
    defined then the POSIX DIS commands are present. This is not
    so, in fact they are only present iff sysconf(_SC_2_VERSION)
    returns _POSIX2_VERSION. On our system it returns -1.

    The consultants have agreed that the code is in error in this case,
    although it has not been the subject of a formal error report.
