    The expected values for certain constants seem to be up the creek.
    For example, FLT_RADIX which is 16 on our machine is expected to
    be 4. This seems to have a cascade effect through the following
    tests. I cannot offer any suggestions as to the exact cause of
    this bug in the suite.
