Problem Summary ACP requirements checklist 6
Problem Text ACP Checklist item 6
There must be a clear delineation between base and extended
    certification requirements.
We would prefer not to identify extended requirements in ACP internal
documentation as it confusing to have them identified as such for our
employees and managers. It is not clear what the value is at having them
documented at such in internal documents for our employees. We can
identify and send to The Open Group as part of the checklist.

    Review Resolution Interpretation (INT)
Review Conclusion CA review complete. Discussed during ITACWG call 30 Sept 08, and agreed
    unaminously to be an INT.

Section 4,1 of the ITAC Accreditation Requirements states: "The Open Group IT
    Architect
Certification Program assessment criteria (Conformance Requirements and Certification
Policy) must be instantiated within the ACP?s own assessment criteria and there must be
a clear delineation between base and extended certification requirements. This is
required to clarify how the baseline requirements are met."

There is no requirement in section 1 or in section 4,1 on if or how "the clear delineation
between base and extended certification requirements" is published by the ACP to its
constituency. It is acceptable for this information to be maintained internal to the ACP
management. It is up to the ACP to decide how the base and any extended
conformance requirements are published to their constituency.
